Sport Nutrition Services

Hello there everybody!!

Nice to be back on my blog again. Just wanted to add some valuable

information about my services to athletes and active individuals pursuing

endurance sports such as running, cycling, rowing, swimming, or of course

the sport of triathlon. This notice also applies to winter sports such as

cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and winter trekking or hiking.

Aside from our daily demands to be human, (going to work, interacting with

family and friends, shopping for groceries, cleaning out your garage, giving

your dog a bath, or being a student. people that participate in endurance

based activities such as the ones mentioned above, let’s just say that

the bar is set a little higher forthem!  What do I mean?  Endurance sports,

particularly the one’s performed in the warmer months pose greater

demands on the athlete’s physiology, psychology, and immune systems

as well.  It is very important for theendurance athlete or someone

participating in an endurance event or training to appreciate that their sport or activity comes at a price. The price to pay in this instance are currencies like

adequate hydration with a good electrolyte balance, adequate macronutrient and micronutrient intakes (carbohydrates, proteins, fats, along with their

vitamins, minerals and co-factors), getting enough sleep, and having one’s

muscle imbalances addressed. A good Sport’s Nutritionist weighing in

with asport nutrition approach to enhance your performance and recovery

just makes good sense, and it may even improve and extend your

participation in your endurance sport.
